He was born October 3, 1947 in Salem, OH, to James and Sara (Sunderman) Hippely. Employed with Air Evac Lifeteam as their Yellville Mechanic until his diagnosis and previously retired from Southwest Airlines in Dallas, TX as an aircraft mechanic. Rick was a Veteran and he served in the US Air Force from 1968-1972. He was a first responder and a member of the Tracy Ferry Volunteer Fire Department. Also, he was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, scuba diving and hiking. Rick had an Associate Degree in Biblical Theology. He was also a private pilot and an A & P mechanic. Survivors: He is survived by his wife Jan, of 28 years; his daughters Kellie (Monte) Wood of Wylie, TX; Sarah (Joel) Armstrong of Garland, TX; his son Aaron (Rebecca) Hippely of Fayetteville, AR; his mother Sara Hippely of Lisbon, OH; brother Dan (Margie) of Lisbon, OH; and 6 grandchildren - Brittanie, Brandon, Caleb, Brice, Brooke, Ana. Preceded in Death by: Rick was preceded in death by his Dad, James E. Hippely. Visitation: Visitation is Friday, October 8, 2004 from 6:00 Â? 8:00 p.m. Funeral: Services for Richard L. Hippely of Mountain Home will be Saturday, October 9, 2004 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 p.m. with Vince Anderson and Pastor Roy Crane officiating. Burial: Burial will be at KirbyÂ?s Tucker Memorial Cemetery. Memorials: Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society specifically for Glioblastoma Brain Multiforme.
