Memorial Services for Richard A. Lawrence of Gassville, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the Clarkridge Zion General Baptist Church with Josh Lawrence officiating.
Richard was born November 12, 1949 and went to be with Jesus on December 29, 2013. He was a teacher of the Holy Bible, book by book and verse by verse. He enjoyed Christian music and played the guitar and piano beautifully.
Richard was preceded in death by one son, Luke; his parents, Martha Leona and Eldon D. Lawrence; five brothers, Reldon, Hoyt, Billy, Gene, Bobby Lee and Buster L. Lawrence; three sisters, Dorthy Nichols, Joyce Maddox and Mary Travis.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Lawrence; five sons, Rick (Janell) of Fayetteville, AR, Chris (Linda) of St. Louis, MO, David of Kansas City, MO, Joseph of St. Louis, MO, Joshua (Kelsey) of Kenya, Africa; five grandsons; three granddaughters; two brothers, Ronald G. and Michael R. (Terry) Lawrence Sr.; one sister, Betty Young and many nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in the Howard Ridge Cemetery, Gainesville, MO.
Memorials may be made to Joshua Lawrence Missionary, in care of the Clarkridge Zion General Baptist Church.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
