Richard Leverton died Tuesday, May 19, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 64. He was born Friday, December 22, 1944 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of James Henry and Louise C. Drinkwitz Leverton. He married Anna Dunlap on March 4, 1973 at Huntington Park, California and worked as a Maintence Mechanic before becoming disabled in 1978. Richard moved his family to Mountain Home in 1979 from California. He enjoyed spending the days with is daughter's dog, Eboni, fishing, hunting, going to church, and his family. He was a member of East Side Baptist Church. Survivors: Richard Leverton is survived by his wife, Anna Leverton, daughter, Christal (Pete) Ross of Mountain Home, AR, 2 sons, Michael Leverton of Ozark, MO and James (Nicole) Leverton of Mountain Home, AR, 4 grandchildren, Bobby and Sara Ross, James and Jordon Leverton of Mountain Home, AR, 1 brother, Robert (Sheryl) Leverton of Mendota Heights, MN, 3 sisters, JoAnn Whittlock-Kolman of Apache Jct., AZ, Jennie Crockett of Coon Rapids, MN and Jaynet (George) Drad of Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada, several nieces and nephews, and special friend Helen Miller of Hollister, MO. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his father, mother and brother, Rodney. Visitation: Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M., Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Funeral: Funeral services for Richard H. Leverton of Mountain Home, AR, will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 22, 2009 at East Side Baptist Church, with Dr. Mike Shy officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks.
