Richard Darrell York

Richard Darrell York, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on July 22, 1950, in Kansas City, Missouri, he was the son of Glenn Edward York and Lois Evelyn Bean York. Richard honorably served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, a testament to his commitment and dedication to his country. Richard’s favorite pastime was watching his Kansas City sports teams play with his family and friends. He was well liked and loved by everyone he encountered. He never missed an opportunity to help someone out. Richard was a longtime Construction worker and Remodeler in the greater Kansas City area, he helped his Father run the business for over 50 yrs. He will be missed greatly!

He is survived by his Son and his wife, Bryon & Alice York of Mountain Home, AR, and his Daughter and her husband, Bryn & Andrew Martinez of Celina, TX. Richard also leaves behind cherished Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren, Brittany Rives of Ward, AR, Bryonna York of Jenks, OK, Bryson Roberts of Depew, OK, Brooklyn Roberts of Celina, TX, Alyson Smoot of Big Rapids, MI. Zakary Martinez of Celina, TX, Zoey Martinez of Celina, TX, Braelynn York of Jenks, OK, Callie Jo Rives of Ward, AR. His Sister Sandee and Bevel Millett of Lee’s Summit, MO, and his favorite Nephew Nathan Millett of Lee’s Summit, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Richard's final resting place will be in the Bean Cemetery in Gamaliel, Arkansas. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
