Rick Culver died April 27, 2007 at Hospice of the Ozarks. He was born November 6, 1942 to Richard and Jean Culver in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He married Sue Saffell on November 28, 1980 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Rick retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years. He spent 14 long winters in Minnesota working for Unisys as a defense contractor. Rick moved to Bull Shoals, Arkansas in 1996 to fulfill his dream of becoming a professional fisherman. He owned Wilderness Trail in Bull Shoals and spent his last days doing what he loved which was helping people catch fish. He was a member of the Hoevel-Barnett Veterans of Foreign War Post #1341. Survivors: his wife Sue Culver of Bull Shoals, AR, his mother, Jean Culver of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, sister Joan Hobbie of Minnesota, his 7 children, Rick Culver III, Ann Greenlund(Peter), Robin Davidowski(Duane) and Lani Popehn(Richard) of Minnesota, Nancy Manos(James) of Arizona, Jeff Weiss of Texas and Dianne Weiss of Alabama, twelve grandchildren and 1 great-grand child. Preceded in Death by: Father Funeral: A Celebration of Life and Gathering of Friends for Rick Culver of Bull Shoals, AR will be from 1:00 P.M to 3:00 P.M. May 6, 2007 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home in Bull Shoals, Arkansas. Military Honors by Hoevel-Barnett Post #1341 will be at 2:00 P.M.
