Riley Ellis Mulligan of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away May 21, 2021, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 76. He was born February 14, 1945, in National City, California, the son of James and Margaret Clark Mulligan. He was a union painter all over the United States and more recently retired from the State of Washington as a maintenance painter. He married Sigrun Ferguson on November 25, 1992, in Washington. Riley lived in Mountain Home since moving from Florida, in 2020. He rejoiced in spending time with family and friends. He was outgoing, enjoyed socializing, and never met a stranger. He was always willing to give. He enjoyed traveling and bargain hunting.
Riley is survived by his wife, Sigrun Mulligan of Mountain Home, AR; two sons, Chad (Trish) Mulligan, Randy (Penny) Mulligan; daughter, Jamie Mulligan; sister, Maxine Wallace; step-children, Kim (Neil) Runions, Jodi (Chris) Klassen, and Hadassah Cornish; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; and his Yorki, Josie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, James, Roger, Derald, Larry, Laverne, and Wilmer; sister, Margaret Fraley; and step-son, Jim Tweed.
A family gathering was held at Kirby & Family Funeral Home on Friday, May 21, 2021. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, May 28, 2021 at Church of Jesus Christ, 2326 Hwy 166 South in Pocahontas, Arkansas, with Pastor Gary Moore officiating.
