Robert C Ahrens

Robert C. Ahrens of Norfork, Arkansas, passed away November 7, 2021, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 85. He was born March 1, 1936, in Elgin, Illinois, the son of Carl and Amelia Awe Ahrens. He married Martha Sensor in 1956 in Elgin, Illinois. Robert lived in Norfork since moving from Elgin, Illinois 20 years ago. He was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Mountain Home, Arkansas. Robert was a sheet metal worker, was invested in the Union, and taught at apprentice schools. He enjoyed camping with his wife, little league baseball, and wood carving.

Robert is survived by his wife, Martha Ahrens; daughter, Kathryn Joiner; son, Robert C. (Eileen) Ahrens, Jr.; granddaughters, Amy L. (Dan) Keslinke and Ashley M. (Matt) Lauer; great-granchildren, Blake, Emerie, and Evan; and his brother, Richard Ahrens.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Mary Louise Roellig.

Burial will take place at Lake Street Memorial Park in Elgin, IL, in the spring.
