A Memorial Service for Robert Anderson, 81, of Midway, Arkansas will be 4:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Calvary Bible Church in Midway, AR with Pastor Roy Crane officiating. Robert died Thursday April 14, 2011 at Baxter Regional Medical Center.
Robert was born April 10, 1930 to Fred and Hazel Anderson at Chicago, IL. He served in the United States Army as a war photographer in the Korean War. Robert enjoyed taking caring of people and was a much relied upon volunteer at the North Arkansas Youth Center in Cotter, AR. He was a past employee at Ranger Boats and a maintenance worker at Baxter Retirement Village.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Lynn McKissack of West Plains, MO; two granddaughters, Nicole McKissack (Brad Hurst) of Mountain Home, AR and Kristen Wheeler (Joe) of West Plains, MO; great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Hurst of Mountain Home, AR and sister, Leona Anderson (Kenneth) of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by his wife, and brother, Gary.
