Funeral Services for Robert W. Birchler of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am, Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, with Reverend David Gadbaw officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, July 20, 2013 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, at the church.
Robert passed away July 12, 2013, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 80. He was born September 29, 1932, in Coulterville, Illinois. He married Muriel M. Bollmeier on August 22, 1953, at Peoria, Illinois and worked as a Machinist for Caterpillar Tractor Company. Robert was a U.S. veteran of the Korean War. Robert lived in Mountain Home since 1983, moving from Washington, Illinois.
Robert is survived by his son, Craig Birchler of Fort Smith, AR; daughter, Julie Alameda of O'Fallon, MO; sister, Lucille Pearson of Mountain Home, AR; brother, Paul Birchler of Pekin, IL, four grandchildren, Jessica Birchler of Ozark, AR; Alexander Alameda of St. Louis, MO, Andrea Alameda of St. Louis, MO and Amanda Crouch of Jackson, MS and three great-grandchildren, Emily Crouch, Mark Crouch, and Blake Larson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Hazel Birchler; wife, Muriel Birchler and son, Mark Robert.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, with Larry Sieber, Alex Alameda, Josh Larson, Arkie Bollmeier, Gary Blackledge and Leo Birchler as pallbearers.
