Robert "Bob" Raymond Foraker of Flippin, Arkansas passed away February 21, 2017, in Flippin, Arkansas at the age of 86. He was born June 24, 1930, in Taylorville, Illinois, the son of Raymond and Roena Nash Foraker. Bob served his country in the United States Marines. He married Gwendolyn Stanton on July 24, 1953, and worked as a Field and Service Mechanic for McDonnell-Douglas and for the South Roxana water department. He worked hard to provide for his family and supported his community by serving as the Fire Chief for the South Roxana Volunteer Fire Department and leading the local Boy Scout Troop. He was a skilled craftsman that could build anything and loved to work in his garden. Bob lived in Flippin since 1993. He was a member of the Twin Lakes Baptist Church.
Bob is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Foraker of Flippin, AR; two sons, Ray (Tonya Brockwell) Foraker of Wood River, IL and Bob (Karensa) Foraker of Edwardsville, IL; three daughters, Carol Foraker of Bethalto, IL, Patty Foraker of Flippin, AR, and Deanna (Jeremy) Wilder of Livermore, CA; sister, Shirley Aymer of IA; brother, James (Karen) Foraker of Taylorville, IL; 20 grandchildren and many loved great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, George Foraker.
Visitation will be from 1-3PM at Mark's Mortuary on Sunday February 26, 2017. Funeral Services will be 11AM,Monday, February 27th, 2017, at Mark's Mortuary in Wood River, IL with Julie Gvillo officiating.
Burial will be in the Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
