Funeral services for Robert Brinkmeier of Mountain Home, AR, will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Twin Lakes Baptist Church, with Dr. Sam Bailey officiating.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the church.
Robert Brinkmeier died Monday, August 24, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 84. He was born Saturday, July 18, 1925 in Freeport, Illinois, the son of Walter and Lavelta Dommell Brinkmeier. He married Cindy Anderson on April 1, 1969 at Rockton, Illinois and worked as a Insurance Salesman for Rockford Life Ins. Co.. Robert Brinkmeier was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Robert lived in Mountain Home since2004 moving from Ridott, Illinois. He enjoyed woodworking, spending time with the kids and farming. He owned and operated the Chuckwagon Restaurant in Rock City, Ill for 19 years, 1976-1995.
Robert Brinkmeier is survived by his wife, Cindy Brinkmeier6 sons, Dana (Becky) Brinkmeier of Rockford, IL, Douglas (Kim) Brinkmeier of Half Moon Bay, CA, Terry (Mary) Brinkmeier of Cedarville, IL, Robert J. (Wendy) Brinkmeier of Huntsville, AL, John (Betty) Brinkmeier of Galena , IL and Michael (Bernie) Brinkmeier of Freeport, IL, 18 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and his special buddy, Ace.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister.
Memorials may be made to the Twin Lakes Baptist Church or CMC Hospice.
Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services.
