Robert Fountain

Robert Fountain died Wednesday, December 3, 2008 in Mountain Home at the age of 85. He was born Friday, November 30, 1923 in Cross Roads, Arkansas, the son of George Jefferson and Martha Rebecca Gilliland Fountain. He married Mable V. Norris on April 7, 1944 at Pineville, Arkansas and was a factory worker for G.E. & Mar Bax Shirt Co. Robert lived in Mountain Home since 1967 moving from Rockford, Illinois. He was a BRMC volunteer and a member of the hospital auxillary. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and loved the outdoors. Survivors: Robert Fountain is survived by 1 son, Keith Fountain of Mountain Home, AR, 1 niece, Catherine Traw of Mountain Home, AR and 1 nephew, Jerry (Juanita) Dockins of West Plains, MO. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Mable V. Fountain. Funeral: Funeral services for Robert Fountain of Mountain Home, AR, will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 5, 2008 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Ken Burton officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks or Children Homes Incorporated.
