A Celebration of Life for Robert Frederick Fox of Bull Shoals, AR will be at 11AM Saturday, February 22, 2014, at the Bull Shoals United Methodist Church with the Reverend Donnie Hudson officiating. Family will be receiving friends from 10AM until time of service. Bob passed peacefully February 18, 2014, surrounded by his family.
Bob was born April 1, 1936, in Joliet, IL to Frederick and Fern Donisch Fox. He married Deanna Spina, June 9, 1956. Bob served his country in the United States Marine Reserves and worked for the EJ&E railroad, as a telegraph operator. In 1975 Bob and Dee moved to Bull Shoals after purchasing Coral Courts Resort, as well as, building and co-founding Bull Shoals Lanes. In 1980, the 178 Club Restaurant was added. In 1984, taking sole ownership, Bob and Dee, with their
children served this community with a premier dining establishment in the Twin Lakes area for more than thirty years. He was one of the founders of the Bull Shoals Bass Club, an avid fisherman & guide of the lake and river, a carpenter for a lifetime, a member of the Bull Shoals-Lakeview Rotary Club and the Bull Shoals United Methodist Church.
He is survived by wife, Deanna Fox of Bull Shoals, AR; children, Wade (Vickie) Fox, Chris (Tabby) Fox and Amy (Kenzie) Parnell of Bull Shoals, AR; sisters, Fern (George) Angelos of Plainfield, IL and Joann (Rolla) Moore of New Lenox, IL; grandchildren, Skyler, Seth, Zackery, Laiken, Faith, Shannon, Anna, Doug, Kristin, and Taylor. His parents; two sisters, Edith Rogers and Nancy Palmer and one grandchild, Tyler Fox, preceded him in death.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks or the Bull Shoals United Methodist Church.
