Robert Arthur Gaertner

Robert Arthur Gaertner passed away June 18, 2016, in Cotter, Arkansas at the age of 85. He was born November 27, 1930, in Oak Park, Illinois, the son of Arthur and Marie Klintworth Gaertner. Robert was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Air National Guard. He was an aircraft mechanic all of his life and the owner and operator of Gaertner Aviation. Robert lived in Cotter since moving from Oceanside, California, in 1998. He was a member of Christ by the Lake Lutheran Church, the American Legion, and the V.F.W.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Terry Gaertner of Park City, UT; daughter Diane (Jeff) Strausburg of Nipomo, CA; brother, Donald (Susan) Gaertner of Ocala, FL; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Shirley Dallas.

Services will be private.
