A Memorial Service for Robert Daniel Grace of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Thursday, July 14, 2016, at the River Bible Church, with Pastor Eric Smeltzer, officiating. A gathering of friends will be from 4:00 until 8:00 pm Wednesday, at the Kirby and Family Funeral Home.
Bob passed away July 9, 2016, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 81. He was born February 10, 1935, in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Michael and Marjorie Grace. He worked at Bar None Stables as a foreman from 1944 until 1953. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Corporal from 1954 until 1957. He was a maintenance manager at Hawkins Construction and a certified Mercury Marine Mechanic. He was a member of the Twin Lakes Golf League and the Elks.
The Graces owned the Cranfield Boat Dock for forty years and had the best customers in the world and they let us help raise their families. Many kids called Cranfield their home as well as many lake customers. We loved every moment of it. We love you all.
Bob is survived by his wife of 59 years, Kathryn Grace of Mountain Home, AR; one daughter and son-in-law, Dennise and Jaime Carranza; four grandchildren, Paul and Jessica Worman, Amanda Worman, Michael and Shannon Worman and Raymond Carranza; two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Donavon Worman; one sister, Delores Lusero; one brother, Dan "Bones" Grace; two brothers-in-law, Ray Taber and George Smith. Because Bob and Kathy together had twelve brothers and sisters, they have many nephews, nieces, great-nieces and nephews and many of the most wonderful friends and neighbors, especially their 49 year friends, John and Mary Norys.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Janette Wagner and Mary Lou Beggs; two brothers Jim and Dick Grace; and Uncle Danny and Aunt Bernice who treated him like their son.
In lieu of flowers consider contributions to "Into the Light", an organization for education and prevention of human trafficking.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
