Robert Otto Hoffman was born July 15, 1929 at Chicago, Illinois the son of Clarence and Anna Brinker Hoffman. Mr. Hoffman served with the US Army during World War II and he was a pressroom supervisor at GTE Directory for 34 years. He had resided in the Bull Shoals area since moving from Westmont, Illinois in 1988. He was a member of Bull Shoals Senior Citizens Club, Mountain Home Seventh Day Adventist Church and enjoyed fishing, stamp collecting and coin collecting. Mr. Hoffman, 77, died Sunday, April 15, 2007 at his residence in Bull Shoals. Survivors: wife, Carolyn D. Hoffman of Bull Shoals; 2 sons, Robert Otto Hoffman, Jr. (Teresa) of Warrenville, Illinois and Michael Hoffman & friend Cathy Starkey of Mountain Home; 2 daughters, Sharon D. (Greg) Garcia of West Chicago, Illinois and Debra A. Stemplewski & friend Steve Oliver of Minooka, Illinois; 3 brothers, Clarence H. Hoffman of Phoenix, Arizona, Richard L. Hoffman of Amarillo, Texas and Philip P. Hoffman of Arlington, Texas; 8 grandchildren, Douglas & David Hoffman, Carrie Palmiter, Melissa & Daniel Garcia, Lisa Case, Sherrie Stemplewski and Michelle Meadows; 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in Death by: his parents and 1 son, Steven. Funeral: Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel in Bull Shoals with Pastor Jerry Johnson and Elder Jerry Beem officiating. Burial: Chapel Hill Gardens West in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois on Thursday at 10:00 AM. Memorials: Hospice of the Ozarks or Mountain Home Seventh Day Adventist Church.
