Robert Jenkins

Robert Jenkins, aged 86, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away on August 28, 2024 He was born on March 14, 1938, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late William and Mildred Carlisle Jenkins. A proud U.S. Army veteran, Robert served his country with honor.

On December 19, 1975, he married Eileen Brozynski in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Robert enjoyed a successful career as a hospital materials manager of several hospitals throughout his working years, and was deeply passionate about gardening, being recognized as a Master Gardener.

In 2000, Robert and Eileen relocated to Mountain Home, Arkansas, from Crete, Illinois, where they made many cherished memories. He is survived by his beloved wife, Eileen Jenkins; son, Jeffery Jenkins of Oak Park, Illinois; sister, Linda Brozynski; and several nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Ronald, Norman, and Dennis Brozynski; and sister, Virginia Payovich.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Entombment will follow, at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum in Mountain Home, Arkansas. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Memorial Contributions may be made to Friends of the Baxter County Library or the Master Gardeners.
