Robert C. Knudson was born February 8, 1919 in Ellsworth, Iowa. He was the son of Rueben and Belle Dyrland Knudson. He married Marjorie Vigus in Mountain Home on September 14, 2000. He served with the US Army during World War II and was a former Underwriting Manager at the St. Paul Insurance Companies. He moved to the Mountain Home area from Conoga Park, California in March, 1980. Mr. Knudson was a member of Elks BPOE #1714, 452nd Bomb Squadron and First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf and playing bridge. Robert C. Knudson passed away at the Baxter Regional Medical Center on February 9, 2005 at the age of 86 years and one day. Survivors: His wife Marge of Mountain Home; two daughters, Kathryn Jane (Jim) Fleisher of Sequim, Washington and Linda Carol Hall of Branson, Missouri; two stepsons, Steven (Sandy) Vigus of Key West, Florida and Gerald Vigus of Sebring, Florida; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Boland of Shell Lake, Wisconsin and Darlene Diehl of Forsyth, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
