Robert "Bob" Irvin Lumbert passed away October 13, 2018, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 89. He was born December 2, 1928, in South Haven, Michigan, the son of Oscar and Elizabeth Cornelious Lumbert. He married Louise Dilbeck on April 22, 1951, in Cotter, Arkansas. Bob lived in Mountain Home since moving from Chicago, Illinois in 1950. He was a retired Army Veteran who had a passion of flying and was a private pilot. His passion for flying also took him to work as a photographer for Aerojet Rocketdyne photographing the firing of rocket engines in the 1960s. Locally he was a business man. A devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved his family dearly, Bob was a gentle man loved by all who knew him.
Bob is survived by his wife, Louise Ann Lumbert of Mountain Home, AR, his children; Bruce (Deborah) Lumbert, of Reno, NV, Denise (Morgan) Maguire, of Miami, OK, Scott Lumbert, of Mountain Home, AR, Betty Lumbert, of Mountain Home, AR, grandchildren; A.J. (Kristy) Maguire, Neil Maguire, Trudy Edwards, Tim Lumbert, Nick Kimutis, great-grandchildren; Gavin Maguire, Cohen Maguire, Roman Maguire, and his beloved fur baby, Angel.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be private at a later date.
