Robert Meininger

Robert Meininger died Tuesday, December 23, 2008 in Mountain Home at the age of 74. He was born Wednesday, January 31, 1934 in Culbertson, Nebraska, the son of Joseph and Lillian Wacker Meininger. He married Janet Wilkening on July 20, 1963 and worked 42 years as a foreman for Marshalltown Instruments. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army and lived in Oakland since 1995 moving from Kenesaw, Nebraska. Survivors: Robert is survived by his wife, Janet, son, Randy (Diana) Drummer of Cedar Rapids, IA, grandchildren, 2 sisters, Laura (Dick) Tandy of Norman, OK and Marge Fisher of Norman, OK and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Stan Fisher. Visitation: Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M., Friday, December 26 at the Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Funeral: Funeral services for Robert Joseph Meininger of Oakland, Arkansas, will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 29, 2008 at the Mitchell Funeral Home, Marshalltown, Iowa, with Pastor Bea Lebuda officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the Rosehill Memorial Cemetery, Marshalltown, Iowa. Memorials: Memorials are being established by the family in his honor. Active Bearers: Gary Moorman, Dave Moorman, Bret Wilkening, Brad Wilkening, Todd Wilkening, Jason Wilkening and Doug Smith as pallbearers.
