A Private service will be held for Robert F. "Bob" Miller formerly of Mountain Home, who moved from here in 2006 to Pleasanton, Kansas. Robert died Monday, April 30, 2007 at Fort Scott, Kansas at the age of 88. He was born November 18, 1918 at Cabool, Missouri to Fredrick and Florence Estella Wicker Miller and lived at Cabool through the 1st grade and then moved to Almena, Kansas in 1926 attending grade school there. After that Robert moved to a farm west of Norton and attended high school at Norton, graduating in the spring of 1936. He served on the USS Enterprise beginning on May 23, 1944 and was discharged on May 20, 1946. He then went to Mountain Home and met Pearl Joyce Byrd and married her on August 17, 1947 at Cotter, Arkansas. Robert was appointed rural carrier of Route #2 in September 1958 and was the carrier on that route until retirement on November 1, 1987. Survivors: son, Freddy Miller and wife Theresa of Pleasanton, Kansas; 3 daughters - Roberta Margason and husband Roger of Springfield, MO, Marilyn Edwards and husband Thayne of Fayetteville, AR, Sandi Nelson and husband Tommy of Rowlett, TX; 8 grandchildren - Sarah Nelson Rhodes of Houston, TX, Hannah Rix of Rockwall, TX, Philip Margason of Westin, FL, Rebekah Margason of Arlington, TX, Jamie Hamm of Belton, MO, Ashley Miller of Kansas City, MO, Robby Miller of Ft. Campbell, KY, Ryan Edwards of Fayetteville, AR; 3 great grandchildren - Jayne and Emma Margason of Westin, Fl and Owen Hamm of Belton, MO. Preceded in Death by: his parents, wife and one brother and one sister. Funeral: Private Memorials: Wall Street Christian Church, P.O.
