Robert Powell

A Memorial Service for Robert Baden Powell, 81, of Bull Shoals, Arkansas will be held 11AM Friday February 11, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Bull Shoals with Pastor Jerry Backus officiating. Bob died February 4, 2011 at Mountain Home, AR.

Bob was born December 18, 1929 at LaSalle, IL to Vincent and Violet Pryde Powell. He married Theresa Joan Westphal May 4, 1968 at Granville, IL. Bob retired to Bull Shoals from Ogelsby, IL in 1987 after working as a glass worker for Libby-Owens Ford for over 34 years. Bob will be remembered as a fishing fanatic, a pool shark and a lover of motorcycles and boats. He was never afraid to share his opinion with you. Bob was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bull Shoals.

Bob is survived by his wife, Theresa Joan; one son, Robert Baden Powell Jr. (Melissa) of Flippin, AR; two daughters, Helena ?Cookie? Powell of Flippin, AR and Crissy Steele (Bill) of Bull Shoals, AR; one sister, V. June Krewer of Oglesby, IL; ten grandchildren, Matthew Ribolzi, Jacob Powell, Erik Powell, Michelle Kopp, Dakota Steele Powell, Nathan Steele, Gary Palmer, Quintin Steele, Hunter Steele, and Danna Steele; and three great-grandchildren, Keegan Steele and Dalton and Caleb Palmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Laverne Walters.
