Robert Propes

Mr. Propes died Saturday May 29, 2004 at Baxter Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday June 1, 2004 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home in Bull Shoals. He was 65. He was born August 20, 1938, at Imboden, Arkansas, to Joseph and Fannie Smith Propes. He married Mary Lindquist on June 18, 1960 at Rockford, Illinois. He was an Auto Mechanic. Mr. Propes lived in Fairview, Arkansas for 17 years moving from Rockford, Illinois. He operated his own shop, Bob’s Automotive, since 1987 and had operated a shop since 1968. He enjoyed photography, reading western books, and traveling to western states. He was a Protestant. Survivors: Mr. Propes is survived by his wife Mary Propes, of Fairview, Arkansas. 2 Daughters: Lori Winchester, of Flippin, Arkansas, and Shari and husband Brad Burt, of Roscoe, Illinois. 1 son: John Propes, of Bull Shoals. 3 grandchildren: Michael Burt and Jeffrey Burt of Roscoe, Illinois, and Jesse Tryan, of Flippin, Arkansas. 1 sister: Kathy Robinson, of Rockford, Illinois. Several nieces and nephews, aunts, and uncles. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation: Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday June 1, 2004 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home in Bull Shoals. Funeral: Funeral services for Robert J. Propes of Fairview, Arkansas will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday June 2, 2004 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home in Bull Shoals with Reverend Jerry Backus officiating. Burial: Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, Arkansas Memorials: Memorials may be made to the North Central Arkansas Humane Society. Active Bearers: with Steve Eastwold, Ralph Chatelain, Darrell Fowler, Michael Burt, Danny Harrington, and Daryl Lindman as pallbearers.
