Mr. Riley died Wednesday, April 15, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 83. He was born Friday, February 26, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois, son of James and Agnes Mersinger Riley. He married Elizabeth Ann Zineveah on March 24, 1965 at Chicago, Illinois. During WWII, he served in the U.S. Navy, Pacific Theatre, as a Radioman. He was a Fireman with the City of Parkridge, Illinois until his retirement in 1976, when he and Elizabeth settled in Mountain Home from Algonquin, Illinois. He was a lifetime member of Ozarks VFW Post 3246. An outdoorsman, he loved to fish the lakes and play golf. Survivors: Robert Riley is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Riley; sons: Robert Riley of Lomita, California and Michael (Sharon) Riley of Salem, New Hampshire; daughters: Cheryl Ann (Gary Bottje) Kline of Roselle, Illinois and Georgiann Ruth (Doyle Shea) Kline of Hudson, Wisconsin; brother Thomas Riley of Harvard, Illinois; sisters: Margaret (Robert) Quinlan of Markham, Illinois, Mary Fieri of Rancho Cucamonga, California and Rosemary (Wally) Frisinger of Bruce, Wisconsin; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, including: Don & Arlene Jenson, Ed & LaVerne Wielosinski, Robert & Lois Graff, Lee Sturtenant, and others too numerous to name. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, James Riley, and a stepdaughter, Gayanne Kline. Funeral: Funeral Services for Robert A. Riley of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be private. Memorials: Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
