Robert Svatek

Robert Svatek died Friday, November 21, 2008 in Mountain Home at the age of 84. He was born Tuesday, October 7, 1924 in Berwyn, Illinois, son of Anton and Barbara Klecka Svatek. He married Evelyn Kopta on July 1, 1950 at Berwyn, Illinois and owned Manor Jewelers. Robert Svatek was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Robert lived in Mountain Home since 1986 moving from Clarendon Hills, Illinois. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and model railroading. Survivors: Robert Svatek is survived by his wife, Evelyn Svatek, 2 daughters, Eileen (Jerome) Branski of Wayne, IL and Cheryl Orth of Las Vegas, NV, 2 grandchildren, Kimberly (Michael) Duppler of St. Charles, IL and Jason Branski of Wayne, IL, nephew, Frank (Sue) Svatek of Mountain Home, AR, 2 brothers-in-law, Earl Kopta of Peoria, IL and Edward (Dorothy) Kopta of Darien, IL, many nieces and nephews. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 1 sister. Funeral: Memorial services for Robert Anton Svatek of Mountain Home, AR, will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor David Gadbaw officiating. Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the North Central Arkansas Humane Society.
