Robert Townley

Richard Townley died Wednesday, January 14, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 73. He was born Tuesday, December 17, 1935 in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Leonard A. and Iva O. Bowden Willis. He worked as a journalist for the Wall Street Journal and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of Korea. Richard lived in Mountain Home since 2002 moving from Texas. He was a member of the Friar's Club, Radio and Television News Director's Association and Writers Guild. Survivors: Richard Townley is survived by 2 sons, William Lawrence Townley of Spotsylvania, VA and Carl Edward Townley of Shreveport, LA and his fiance, Joeanna Townsend of Mountain Home, AR. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral: Memorial services for Richard L. Townley of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 16, 2009 at the St. Andrews Episcopal Church, with Reverend Ann Carriere, officiating.
