Robert passed away November 15, 2018, in Lakeview, Arkansas at the age of 58. He was born May 22, 1960, in Napa Valley, California, the son of William Varela and Nancy Koch. He married Jacqueline Hanlon on September 23, 2013, in Bull Shoals, Arkansas and worked at Ranger Boats and also at Wayne Farms in Danville, AR. Robert was a U.S. Navy veteran. He lived in Lakeview since moving from Russellville, Arkansas, in 2013. He was a member of the Community Bible Study Church and enjoyed fishing, cooking, traveling and history.
Robert is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Hanlon of Lakeview, AR; mother, Nancy Koch of Napa Valley, CA, seven daughters, Kimberly Gates of Conway, AR, Amy Rothe of Paragould, AR, Karin Keller of Lincoln, NE, Alex Varela of Lawrence, KS, Amethyst Mier of Kansas City, KS, Niccara Varela of Joplin, MO and Cierra Varela of Neosho, MO: brother, Tom Varela of Dallas, TX, 15 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Robinson.
