Robert Carroll Willis, of Flippin, Arkansas, passed away on May 19, 2024, in Flippin at the age of 86. He was born on June 24, 1937, in Johnson City, Tennessee, to Claude and Lillie Barnett Willis.
Robert married Diana Oswald on March 7, 1964, in Apopka, Florida. He worked as a projectionist at several theaters in Florida before spending 22 years as a wiring technician for Ranger Boats. Robert was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Robert was a simple man who cherished spending time with his grandchildren and enjoying Diana's home-cooked meals. He loved to travel with Diana and never met a stranger, endearing himself to everyone he met.
He is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Diana Willis of Flippin, AR; three sons, Mitchell Willis and James (Penny) Willis of Flippin, AR, and Robert S. Willis of Florida; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Claude Jr. and Thomas Willis of Alabama; sisters, Jane (Robert) Holmes, Caroline (Fred) Senn, and Patsy (Ken) Adams of Alabama; and many nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one brother.
A Funeral Service for Robert will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 26, 2024, at the First Baptist Church of Flippin, with Pastor Aaron Lindsey officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church of Flippin.
