Robert died Sunday, September 28, 2008 in Pomona at the age of 84. He was born Tuesday, March 11, 1924 in Tulare, California, son of Ivan V. and Esther R. Hines Wray . He married Virginia L. Parks on January 16, 1993 in Oakland, California. He worked as a master carpenter and was self employed. Robert Wray was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and lived in Pomona since 1995, moving from Watsonville, California. He researched the internet extensively for geneology and family information. He was interested in current events, enjoyed making things for his family and loved gardening. Survivors: Robert Wray is survived by 1 son, Robert J. (Cheryl) Wray of Midland, TX, 3 daughters; Cynthia L. Wray of Scottsdale, AZ, Esther (William) Fish of Uncasville, CT, Mary C. (David) DeLaLoza of Chula Vista, CA, 2 step-sons; Ron (Rosemary) Keaton of Gilmore, CA, Kenneth McDaniel of Pomona, MO, 1 step-daughter, Kathleen (Bob) Bassham of Salem, AR, 12 grandchildren, 1 brother, Curt Wray of Tacoma, WA and life long best friend, Dallas 'Boot' Britt. Preceded in Death by: his wife, Virginia L. Wray and his parents Visitation: Visitation will be from 1-3 P.M., Friday, October 3 at the church prior to the service. Funeral: Funeral services for Robert C. Wray of Pomona, MO, will be 3:00 P.M. Friday, October 3, 2008 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, West Plains, MO, with Bishop Dr. Jeffrey Roylance officiating.
