Roger Eggemeyer

Roger L. Eggemeyer was born September 13, 1929 in Chester, Illinois. He was the son of Alexander and Rose Hohgrefe Eggemeyer. He married Aletha McClure in Chester, Illinois on February 15, 1958. Mr. Eggemeyer was a United States Army veteran. He retired from Catepillar Tractor Company after working as a machinest for thirty years. He was a member of V.F.W. #3246, American Legion, life member of the Society of the First Infantry Division, board member of the Northeast Water Association, and member of the Mountain Home Baptist Church. He loved to hunt and fish. He has been a resident of Mountain Home since he moved from Washington, Illinois in 1983. Roger L. Eggemeyer passed away at Baxter Regional Medical Center on May 29, 2005 at the age of 75 years, 8 months and 16 days. Survivors: Wife of forty-seven years, Aletha Eggemeyer, three daughters, Brenda Randall of Washington, Illinois, Renee (Scott) Kuykendall of Metamora, Illinois and Rebecca (Scott) Reed of Peoria, Illinois; five grandchildren, Michael and Tim Randall of Washington, Illinois, and Rachel, Zachary and Megan Reed of Peoria Illinois; and one sister, Helen Norris of Dunn, North Carolina Preceded in Death by: Parents, one brother and one sister Visitation: Thursday, June 2, 5:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral: 10:00 Friday, June 3, 2005, Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel, Dr. James Hoffpauir officiating. Burial: Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, AR. Military Honors will be provided by the North Central Arkansas Veterans Council with Color Guard by Alley-White American Legion Post #52.
