Roger Dale Fletcher, born on August 22, 1950, peacefully passed away on May 30, 2024, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was a dedicated individual who pursued a fulfilling career working for Union Pacific Railroad and later contributed his talents to the United States Postal Service. Prior to his professional endeavors, Roger proudly served in the United States Navy. Roger graduated from Mountain Home High School in the class of 1968. He married Judy Carpenter on August 22, 1974. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Roger cultivated a rich tapestry of hobbies and interests that brought him immense joy. These included watching his beloved Arkansas Razorbacks and St. Louis Cardinals compete, tending to his farm and garden, and hunting in the beautiful Ozarks. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his grandchildren.
In his final moments, Roger was surrounded by his loving family-a testament to the strong bonds he nurtured throughout his life. He is survived by his devoted wife, Judy Fletcher of Mountain Home, AR; daughters, Michelle (Curt) Cotter and Alyssa Guidry of Mountain Home, AR; daughter-in-law, Carey Fletcher of Flippin, AR; six cherished grandchildren, Emily (Mason) Fletcher, Chance (Krisandra) Cotter, Ryan Fletcher, Camden (Trinity) Cotter, Carsen Cotter, and Laney Guidry; sisters Glenda (Daniel) Henderson and Sherlyn Ricketts; as well as several nephews, nieces, and cousins. Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Willard Thomas Fletcher and Mary Kindle Lane; his son, Sean Fletcher; and two sisters, Wanda Woodell and Ronda Cummings.
In remembering Roger Dale Fletcher's life's journey, we honor a man of integrity who touched the lives of many with his kindness and dedication. His legacy will endure through the memories shared by those fortunate enough to have known him.
Private Graveside Funeral Services for Roger were held on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Military Honors were rendered by the Alley-White American Legion Post #52 and United States Navy Honor Guards. Memorials may be made to a local veterans organization.
