Funeral Services for Roger Owen Johnson of Harrison, Arkansas, will be at a later date in Oregon.
Roger passed away July 20, 2015, in Harrison, Arkansas, at the age of 72. He was born December 7, 1942, in Forest Grove, Oregon, the son of Charles and Hazel Davis. He was later adopted and raised by Paul and Hazel Johnson. He married Jean Boyd on February 14, 1988, at Gilliam County, Oregon, and worked in city maintenance. Roger was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. Roger lived in Harrison since moving from Washington, in November 2014. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, writing poetry, and teaching.
Roger is survived by his wife, Jean Johnson of Harrison, AR; seven of his eight children, Crystal (Bruce) Stockwell of Portland, OR, Colleen Cunningham of Portland, OR, Danny (Dorothy) Johnson of Tampa, FL, Georgia (Travis) Jackson of Harrison, AR, Heather (Mark) Walton of Cook, WA, Emily (Jarrod) Miller of Dalles, OR, and Matthew (Taleena)Johnson of McMinville, OR; 23 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and four siblings, Paula Lance, David Johnson, Gary Johnson, and Debbie Goff.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Damon Lee Johnson; sister, Nancy Grimsley; and brother, Steven Johnson.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Hills Hospice House.
