Roger Wesley Lindblom passed away November 16, 2017, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 72. He was born February 22, 1945, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the son of Wesley and Ruby Swenson Lindblom. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and worked as a Service Manager for Honeywell. After retiring from Honeywell, Roger bowled professionally, raced cars, and flew planes. Roger lived in Mountain Home since moving from Sonoma, California. He loved spending time with his family, teaching his children many values and skills.
Those who knew Roger, knew that he was a very intelligent man. He was incredibly organized, honest, reliable, and talented. Roger was extremely self-sufficient; he would never buy something that he could make for himself and the results were usually astounding. He had many interests, from his love of motorcycles to his many projects, collecting thousands of items from Walker Auction that he had "amazing plans" for but just hadn't gotten to yet.
Roger always told his children "We are not lost, we are on an adventure!" We hope his new adventure is extraordinary.
Roger is survived by his daughter, Cathie (Jake Beiler) Lindblom of Cottage Grove, MN; son, Brian Lindblom of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Dan Lindblom of Redmond, WA; sister, Barbara Finnestad of Chula Vista, CA; grandchildren, William (Ambra) Lindblom, and Nicole Goodman, all of Cottage Grove, MN; great-grandchildren, Effie Lindblom and Ariana Norman; two aunts, Dorothy (John) Stefanoff of Kalispell, MT; and Dorothy Swenson of Camano Island, WA; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends, Norm Hurst of Ferndale, WA and Randy Crawford of Mountain Home, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dean Lindblom and Robert Lindblom.
Services for Roger are private.
Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
