Roman Stanley Mentlewicz was born March 11, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois. He was the son of John and Mattie Krawczykowski Mentlewicz. He married Betty Swanson Grossmann on January 20, 1967 in Chicago, Illinois. He was employed as a messenger for Brinks. Mr. Mentlewicz served with the United States Marines during the Korean War. He lived in Niles, Illinois before moving to Lakeview, Arkansas in October, 1982. He was a member of Eagles Lodge 3183, American Legion Post 431 of Lakeview, Bull Shoals Retired Fishermans's Club, and the Catholic Church. Roman Stanley Mentlewicz passed away at Baxter Regional Medical Center on February 24, 2005, at the age of 74 years, 11 months and 13 days.
