Ronald Rae died Wednesday, June 20, 2007 in Mountain Home at the age of 82. Ronald Rae was born June 24, 1924 at Chicago, Illinois to Frank and Ann Sharpe Rae. He married Sally Zinn Rae at Chicago, Illinois on May 24, 1977. Ronald was a Police Commander for the Chicago Police Department for 25 years, and was a Veteran of the United States Army during World War II. He moved from Chicago, Illinios to Mountain Home in 1979 and became a member of the VFW - Ozark Post #3246. Ronald was also a member of the Alley White American Legion, Post #52 and the Twin Lakes Gun Club. He enjoyed learning about history and belonged to the Arkansas Archeological Society through the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Survivors: Wife, Sally Rae of Mountain Home; 1 son - Bruce Rae of Chicago; 1 daughter - Laura (Anthony) Moscatello of Chicago; 1 sister - Elizabeth (Ken) Ringstad of Elmhurst, Illinois; 1 niece and 1 nephew Preceded in Death by: Parents, one brother and niece Visitation: None Funeral: A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. at Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services in Mountain Home with Reverend Charles White officiating.
