Ronald Bata, a dedicated Park Ranger with the Army Corp of Engineers for 38 years in Bull Shoals and Norfork, and a respected deputy sheriff and bailiff for the Baxter County Sheriff's Department, has passed away on April 17, 2024, at the age of 81, in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Born on January 4, 1943, in Delaware, Arkansas, Ronald led a fulfilling life filled with service and commitment. He pursued his passion for protecting nature and serving his community through his career as a Park Ranger and later in law enforcement. His dedication to public service was truly admirable.
He married Ada Tallent on December 8, 1962, in Hot Springs, Arkansas and had two sons, Ronald and Charles. In his leisure time, Ronald enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He found joy in the sport of bowling and cherished moments spent with his loved ones.
Ronald is survived by his two sons, Ronald (Christine) Bata and Charles Bata; brother, James (Linda) Bata; grandchildren, Amanda, Ronald, Kendria, Brian, Charles Tyler, and Todd; as well as six great-grandchildren. Ronald Bata is now reunited with his parents, Winifred and Ruth Wood Bata; his beloved wife, Ada Bata; and his sister, Patricia McQuirk.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be Monday, April 22, 2024, at 12:00 noon in the Graves Cemetery, in Delaware, Arkansas, with Reverend Heather Clawitter officiating.
