Ronald Dean Booy, 54, of Mountain Home passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018, in Mountain Home. Ron was born on January 10, 1964, in Pella, Iowa to Harold and Evelyn (Van Kalkeren) Booy. He was self-employed at Booy Construction, owner of the Bungalow Resort and was the bowling coach at Norfork High School. Ron was a P.B.A. bowler, bowling several perfect games in league play. He loved to camp, spend time with his family and grandkids and was an avid sports fan. His favorite thing was watching his grandson, Teagan, play ball. Ron will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Booy of Mountain Home; one son, Landon (fiancé, Kayla Sconiers) Booy of Mountain Home; two daughters, Courteney (Andrew) Muse of Pleasant Plains and Whitney (Alex) Kilgore of Maumelle; his parents, Harold and Evelyn Booy of Mountain Home; one brother, Wayne (Kathy) Booy of Oskaloosa, IA; one sister, Sheryl (Scott) Long of Willard, MO; four grandchildren, Teagan Christopher Booy, Bhretton Leslie Hyder Booy, Wyatt Coleman Muse and Fynleigh Renae Booy; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dwayne and Pat Hickman of Mountain Home; sister-in-law, Kelli Hickman Cooper of San Marcos, TX; his grandmother, Thelma Hickman of Mountain Home, six nephews; one niece; four great-nephews; five great-nieces and his two dogs, Sadie and Bella Rose.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Emily Booy and John and Elizabeth Van Kalkeren.
Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with family receiving friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 2:00 pm at First Assembly of God in Mountain Home with Reverend Scott Long and Reverend Mike Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
