Ronald Eugene Garkey

Ronald Eugene Garkey of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away June 7, 2023, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 87. He was born July 6, 1935, in Ogle County, Illinois, the son of Orval and Emma Hoernecke Garkey. He married Beverly Blake on December 24, 1955, in Mount Morris, Illinois and was a master plumber. Ronald was a U.S. Army veteran. He lived in Arkansas since moving from Mount Morris, Illinois, in 1973. He loved his family, nature, and was known for his generosity and compassion for others.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Beverly Jeanne Garkey of Mountain Home, AR; son, Ronald Garkey; three daughters, Wanda Jensen, Peggy Wobecky, and Brenda Yancey; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his infant son, Jeffery Ronald.

A Graveside Funeral Service for Ronald will be 10:00 am, Friday, June 9, 2023, at Fairview Cemetery, Flippin, Arkansas.
