A Celebration of Life for Ronald Wesley Hill, Jr. of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Friday, September 5, 2014, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel in Bull Shoals, with Chaplain Susie Wilson officiating.
Ron passed away August 29, 2014, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 50. He was born November 29, 1963, in Pontiac, Michigan, the eldest child of Ronald and Dr. Carolyn Bailey Hill. Ron moved from Beaumont, Texas to Mountain Home, Arkansas. After graduating from Mountain Home High School, Ron worked as a certified welder and a master carpenter. It was in Bull Shoals that he met the love of his life, Pam Stauffer. They were married on November 12, 2013. Ron was an extremely talented artist, an accomplished fiddler, an antique collector, and an avid sports fan, but his greatest passion was fishing where he found joy and peace out on the water.
After a brave and difficult battle with cancer, he passed away peacefully in his wife's arms.
Ron is survived by his wife, Pam Hill of Bull Shoals, AR; son, Brandon (Stephanie) Hodge of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Crystal Hodge of Mountain Home, AR; two brothers, Wayne (Louis) Hill of Seattle, WA, and Shane (Carrie) Hornsby of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Melissa (John) Kurk of San Antonio, TX, and Sue (John) Giles of Orlando, FL; step-father, John Hornsby of Tacoma, WA; and five grandchildren, Ryan, Bryson, Mattison, Chloee, and Johnny of Mountain Home, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the Bull Shoals Volunteer Fire Department, the First Responders, and Hospice of the Ozarks for all of their assistance.
