Funeral Services for Ronald George "Corky" Kolba of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kenneth Taglauer officiating. Visitation will be Monday, February 29, 2016, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel.
Corky passed away February 25, 2016, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 83. He was born July 18, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Lawrence and Velma Heiner Kolba. He married Jacqueline Sandberg on September 21, 1957, at Chicago, Illinois and was a draftsman for Illinois Bell. Corky was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and has lived in Mountain Home since moving from Chicago, Illinois, in 1991. He was a life-member of the Ozark V.F.W. Post #3246 and was active with the Funeral Honor Guard.
Corky is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Kolba of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Susan (Tony) Neven of Bourbonnais, IL; five grandchildren, Ryan (Marti) Krieger, Ricky (Kate) Krieger, Brandon Henson, Amanda Henson, and Jamie Neven; and five great-grandchildren, Benjamin Baker, Aspen Douglas, Coral Krieger, Kari Edwards, and Avalyn Krieger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Kolba; daughter, Sandee Henson; and grandson, Jerry Douglas.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas, with Ryan Krieger, Ricky Krieger, Cole Gallaway, Brandon Henson, Garrett Edwards, and Tony Neven as pallbearers. Military Honors will be provided by the Ozark V.F.W. Post #3246 Honor Guard and the United States Army Honor Guard.
