Ronald Lewallen

Ronald Milo Lewallen passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer on March 9, 2024, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was born on March 11, 1940, in Wessington Springs, South Dakota, the son of Floyd and Doris Heeter Lewallen. He was raised in Wisconsin and graduated in 1958 from the Tri-County Area Schools in Plainfield, WI.  Ron's life journey was marked by his unwavering commitment to his work and community.

Having served in the Army during the Berlin Crisis, Ron understood the value of sacrifice and duty. His time in the military shaped his perspective and instilled in him a sense of honor that he carried throughout his life. After his military service, Ron dedicated many years of hard work to the United Parcel Service, leaving a lasting impact on all those he encountered.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Ron was a member of the Bull Shoals United Methodist Church for more than twenty years participating in the choir and serving as a member and/or chairman of the Board of Trustees.  His presence radiated warmth and kindness, touching the lives of many parishioners and friends. His deep-rooted faith guided him in all aspects of life, inspiring others through his actions and words. Ron was active in sports during high school especially as quarterback for the football team.  He was a member of the Plainfield Volunteer Fire Department for twenty years serving as Assistant Fire Chief and Training Officer for fifteen years and a First Responder for ten years. Ron also loved gardening, woodworking and was an avid bowler and golfer. 

Ron will be deeply missed by his surviving family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Lewallen of Bull Shoals, AR; five daughters,  Debra Denniston, Denise (Dan) Harris, Diane (David) Bray, Dawn (Jack) Woyak, and Sandra (Mark) Lee; step-son, Jason (Colleen) Scott; two brothers, Lloyd (Ceil) Lewallen, and Tom Lewallen; sister, Marianne (Ed) Wade; fourteen grandchildren;  ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard, Jack and Floyd and sisters, Barbara and Karen. 

Ron unwavering love and support will forever resonate within the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him.

A Memorial Service for Ron will be 10:00 am, Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Bull Shoals Methodist Church, with Pastor Dr. Charles "Pete" Beevers officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Hoevel-Barnett Post #1341 VFW and the United States Army Honor Guard.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks or Bull Shoals Methodist Church.
