Services for Ronald Alan Mayer of Flippin, Arkansas, will be at a later date in Colorado and Indianapolis.
Ronald passed away September 28, 2014, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 67. He was born January 1, 1947, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of Tom and Jeanne Dove Mayer. His family moved to Fountaintown, Indiana, where they raised purebred German Shepherds. He grew up showing the dogs at different shows in the area. He worked in the automotive industry and worked for Chrysler and taught Automotive Vocation College. He lived in Flippin since 2006, moving from Colorado. He enjoyed working on cars and painting them. He loved NASCAR, camping, fishing and nature.
Ronald is survived by his lifetime partner of 37 years, Eldon Glenn of Flippin, AR; two brothers, Mike (Bonnie) Mayer of Indianapolis, IN and Thomas E. Mayer, Jr., Grecia/ Alajuela, Costa Rica; and a niece, Michelle Mayer and her two sons, Nate and Wyatt of Indianapolis, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Burial will be in Indianapolis, Indiana.
