Rowland Morrow Stinson

A Funeral Service for Rowland Morrow Stinson of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Keith Sharp officiating. Visitation will be Monday, February 5, 2018, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.
Rowland passed away February 1, 2018, in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 86. He was born November 3, 1931, in Myrtle, Mississippi, the son of Rowland and Etoyle Sandlin Stinson. He married Marlene Russell on December 17, 1949, in Myrtle, Mississippi and worked as a shop foreman for Barber Greene. Rowland enjoyed living in Mountain Home for the last 30 years and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Rowland is survived by his wife, Marlene Stinson of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Marilyn (Dennis) Williams of Bowling Green, KY; son, Calvin Stinson of Mountain Home, AR; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Stanley and Corey Stinson and sister, Geraldine Simmons.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
