Roy passed away February 9, 2014, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 69. He was born October 29, 1944, in Portland, Oregon, the son of George and Nonie Ivy Bales. He married Sherry Fultz on May 20, 1961, at Portland, Oregon and was a heavy equipment operator. Roy was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Roy lived in Mountain Home since moving from Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2003.
Roy is survived by his wife, Sherry Bales of Mountain Home, AR; two sons, Austin (Elizabeth) Bales and Robert (Sydney) Bales, both of Las Vegas, NV; seven grandchildlren, seven great-grandchildren, and a sister, Betty LaFond.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, and sisters.
