Roy James Tharp

Roy James "Jim" Tharp of Cotter, Arkansas, passed away June 3, 2021, in Cotter, Arkansas at the age of 56. He was born April 18, 1965, in Somers Point, New Jersey, the son of Lee and Elva Ashton Tharp. Jim lived in Cotter since moving from New Jersey in 1983. He enjoyed playing games on the computer.

Jim is survived by his father, Lee Tharp of Cotter, AR; brother, Rick Tharp; sister, Darlene (Scott) Brown; sister, Cathy (Jeff) Van Dyke; sister, Louise (Mike) Williams; sister, Melissa (Ray) Young; brother, Michael Tharp of Cotter, AR; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elva Mae Tharp and brother, David Tharp.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 9, 2021, from 9:00 am until 10:00 am, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. A Graveside Service for Roy will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Bean Cemetery, with Cameron Ross officiating. Due to current restrictions, masks are required.

Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services - Mountain Home, Arkansas.
