Russell Edward Epps

Rusty went home to his savior on March 31, 2009. He was 63 years old. Rusty was born May 18, 1945 at Tulsa, Oklahoma to Russell and Myrtle Petty Epps. He married Deanna Hendren at Harrison, Arkansas on November 29th, 1991. Rusty was a truck driver and retired from Guy King and Sons. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Rusty moved to this area in 1991 from Springfield, Missouri. He was an avid golfer and a fixture at the Rivercliff Golf Course. He also loved to fish and spend time outdoors. Rusty will be remembered for his easy going attitude, his friendship and his incessant whistling. He was a Deacon at the Antioch Baptist Church in Flippin, Arkansas. Survivors: Rusty is survived by his wife Deanna Epps of Lakeview, Arkansas, three sons; Dan(Kiera) and Doug(Toni) McManness both of Flippin, Arkansas and Paul Epps of Colorado, two daughters; Rania Senne(Paul) of Marshfield, Missouri and Debi Fischer(Bryan) of Flippin, Arkansas, one sister; Paula Joe Epps of Fort Worth, Texas, and ten grandchildren; Jason, Ashton, Jacob, and Clayton McManness, Catherine, Erin and Christopher Senne, and Shelby, Makayla and Layton Fischer. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation: Visitation will be from 4-6PM Friday April 3, 2009 at Rivercliff Golf Course. Funeral: A funeral service for Russell Edward "Rusty" Epps of Lakeview, Arkansas will be at 3:00 PM Saturday April 4th, 2009 at Antioch Baptist Church in Flippin, Arkansas with Brother Danny Hutcherson officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Flippin, Arkansas. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Antioch Baptist Church. Active Bearers: Ronnie Erwin, J.B. Briggs, Lynn Williams, Allen Althof, Dick Johnson, and Joe Durham as pallbearers.
