Ruth Schlote

Ruth Martha Schlote of Flippin, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 18th, 2007 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was 86 years old. Ruth was born January 11, 1921 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Paul and Bertha Rogahn Roenspies. She married Royal H. Schlote on July 24, 1943. Together they had five children. Ruth was a very loving , caring , giving wife and mother who worked as a homemaker in Beloit, Wisconsin. In 1978, Royal and Ruth retired to Flippin, Arkansas. She then became a member of Christ By The Lake Lutheran Church. Ruth enjoyed traveling, boating, cooking, sewing, knitting, bird watching, crosswords, reading, donating to charitable organizations and most of all, spending quality time with her family and friends. Survivors: . Ruth is survived by two sons: Wayne (Kim) Schlote of Beloit, WI and Kenneth (Bonnie) Schlote of Flippin, AR and two daughters; Suzanne Halom of Waunakee, WI and Karen (Todd) Brooks of Beloit, WI. She has thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Preceded in Death by: Ruth is preceded in death by; her parents, her husband Royal, her son Melvin, two brothers and one sister. Visitation: From 2:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m. Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2007 at the Christ by the Lake Lutheran Church in Bull Shoals.
