A Memorial Service for Sandra Jean Christensen of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Monday, August 24, 2015, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Tad Rogers officiating.
Sandra passed away August 19, 2015, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 75. She was born February 19, 1940, in Winfield, Kansas, the daughter of Albert and Dora Husted. She married Roger Christensen on April 18, 1959, and worked as a property manager. Sandra lived in Mountain Home since 2000, moving from Hoffman Estates, Illinois. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and was an avid collector and garage saler. She loved to play cards and was a member of many card clubs. Sandra took very good care of her family and friends.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Roger Christensen of Mountain Home, AR; two daughters, Jaylene Martin and Terrilyn Strauss, 5 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; sister, Jeanette Lawrence; sister-in-law, Hazel Husted and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Craig Alan Christensen and brother, Kenneth Husted.
Inurnment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
