Jean Harris died Sunday, July 20, 2008 in Mountain Home at the age of 78. She was born Sunday, December 29, 1929 in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of Eddie Carlton and Sarah Celeste Kressenberg Vick. She married Wilburn Harris on November 17, 1949 in Memphis, Tennessee and worked in Retail Sales. Jean lived in Mountain Home since 1990 moving from Memphis, Tennessee. She had 30 years of service at Sears in the Children's Department. Her family was extremely important and she had a deep and unshakeable faith. The perfect mother and grandmother, she was an avid reader and loved to cook and sew. She was loving, forgiving and kind. Survivors: Jean Harris is survived by, her husband, Wilburn Harris, 2 daughters, Vicki Burkhart of Mountain Home, AR and Sandra (Tom) Baldwin of Logan, UT, son, Arch Harris of Memphis, TN, grandchildren, Stacy Wright, Nicholas Goff, Andrew Harris, Jessica Boman, Katie Harris, Dana Burkhart, Matthew Baldwin,, Holly Harris, Sarah Baldwin, Christopher Burkhart, and Jason Baldwin, 3 brothers, Carlton B., John K. and Donald Vick, sister, Connie McCullum and great-grandson, Ivan Goff. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Roland Williams. Visitation: Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M., Wednesday, July 23 at the Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Funeral: Funeral services for Sarah Eugenia "Jean" Harris of Mountain Home, AR, will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, July 24, 2008 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with Brother Randall Drake and Brother Tom Roberts officiating, Bishop Ray Postelwait presiding. Burial: Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
