Sheldon C. Becker was born June 17, 1919 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Louis C. and Minnie Mitchell Becker. He married Jacqueline DeGuelle in Warren, New Jersey on December 18, 1954. Mr. Becker served with the United States Navy on the USS Midas during World War II. He was employed as an instrument tool maker with Bell Labs for twenty-two years. The Becker family moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas from Gillette, New Jersey in November, 1988. Mr. Becker was a member of First United Methodist Church, where he was active in the men's club. He was also a member of the Rod and Reel Fishing Club, Walleye Angler Group; Alley-White American Legion Post #52, and the Sierra Club. Sheldon C. Becker passed away at Baxter Regional Medical Center November 14, 2005, at the age of 86 years, 6 months and 27 days.
